If it walks like a duck...or a Marxist

Albuquerque, NM (Wisdom4Today) I know people may be wondering why I keep refering to marxists in my posts and position as a leader of a Christian organization. Simply stated, what Nazism was to the Jewish people, Marxism is to the world. Marxism is a godless religion (yes I said religion) that elevates the state or motherland to the level of God and executes a demonic holocaust upon humanity. A foundational principle of communism is the elimination of any reference by the people to believe and worship God in a manner that is not approved by the state. Marxist indoctrination methods employed by its practitioners notoriously included extensive "training" to remove the person's belief in God and elimination of worship, reading the Bible, etc..

Why is this an issue to discuss? Because we are now seeing on almost a monthly basis how officials that have recently been placed in the highest levels of government that are self proclaimed marxists; who extoll the virtues of Marxism; and those leaders who practice the same. We are seeing the systematic dismantling of capitalism using whatever guise avalailable and a coordinated effort to implement marxist practices. I am not going to document the list of names here because there are other organizations that that are revealing the evidence along with the names.

However, there is a question that has to be asked that somehow not many want to ask nor does anyone want to answer. The question is when you see people and policies in the highest levels of government expousing Marxist ideology; refering to Marxist leaders as objects of admiration; and political appointees to positions that interact with specific demographics of which they offend with their personal views, why isn't anyone asking why? Why would someone be appointed to deal with violence in schools that is friendly to groups that want the legalization of sex with little boys? Why would someone be appointed to interact with religious organizations that is an outspoken opponent of religious organizations? Why would someone who monitors the media bragg about how their practices are used to control the media? Why would numerous key advisors and "Czars" that are self proclaim marxists who want a revolution to "transform America" even get security passes to VISIT the White House, much less WORK in the White House?

As it was once said about taxes, that if it walks like a duck and talks like a duck, it's a duck. Likewise, if it walks like marxism and talks like a marxism it must be a marxism. It seems to me that our elected officials in Washington need to be taken to the woodshed and given a lesson about Article 4 Section 4 of the Constitution:

The United States shall guarantee to every State in this Union a Republican Form of Government, and shall protect each of them against Invasion; and on Application of the Legislature, or of the Executive (when the Legislature cannot be convened), against domestic Violence.

I would hope that our elected officials would show more respect and admiration for our Constitution than the marxist tyrants who were and still are responsible for tens of millions of deaths in the last century. Likewise they should be grateful that in a Republic, when we want to get rid of someone, we do not take them out and shoot them in the head like so many of those that they admire have done. Instead, we take them out at the ballot box.

For me, this is not a political issue. If it were, my focus would be to solely to take the advice of the Lord and render unto Caesar the things which are Caesar's. But, my focus is on whether we should listen to what God says to do or what man says to do. So my focus is to take the the whole counsel of the Lord and render unto God the things of God. In other words, politial issues can be left to those who like to deal with political issues, but when political issues become God's issues, that is where I have to draw the line. Hopefully, many others who call them self "conservatives" will stop looking to man's definition of conservative and start looking to God's definition of a conservative. If we could do that, out nation would be a whole lot better off.

Why government is bad for business

Akron, Ohio (Wisdom4Today) With the recent forced resignation of the CEO of General Moters, it is becoming more and more apparent that the present administration is determined to carry out the President's plan to nationalize industry as part of a broader plan of overthrowing capitalism. Unfortunately, when you talk to the average person on the street, there seemes to be little, if any, alarm over what is happening. Likewise, when pressed on the issue, the average person can not explain how the federal government will do a better job at running America's businesses than the experts now running them.

To demonstrate how the government will do a worse job at running America's businesses than the experts, I only need to look at the Summit County Ohio Department Jobs and Family Services (JFS). Without belaboring the point, I think that all would agree that if there were a government unit that has been in existence and interacting with the public for some time, JFS would be the one. JFS provides "assistance" for numerous things such as food stamps and health care for needly families. When you browse their website at the http://jfs.ohio.gov/ you find a well manicured web page with lots of links to the different services. This is where the problem begins.

An individual that I will identify as Ruby recently went to the JFS website for information about how to receive assistance with food and health care. Ruby's husband had been out of work for several months and they were nearing the end of their savings and needed help with food and medical care. So, Ruby filled out the required online forms and called the Summit County JFS to see if she needed an appointment. The person fielding the calls told Ruby that she could mail them or hand deliver them so Ruby chose to drive to downtown Akron to hand deliver them.

After looking up the address, she left to go to the JFS office. Upon arrival, she discovered that the office had moved and she had to ask people on the street where they had relocated. She found that they were not far away so she went to the new location and waited to speak to someone. After a while she was able to speak to someone and was asked if she had an appointment. Ruby told the person she was told over the phone she did not need an appointment. The person at the desk told her she would have to make an appointment to which Ruby replied she had all her paperwork, and would like to know if she could just turn it in. The person looked at her paperwork and told her that she had filled out the wrong forms. Ruby told the person that she had gotten the forms off the state website to which the person replied that the forms on the state website where the old forms and they had been changed. Needless to say, Ruby was given a whole new set of forms and had to fill them out.

Ruby chose to stay there and filled out the new forms. When she was done, she turned them in and the person taking the forms asked Ruby if she could stay because she might be able to fit Ruby into a standby appointment. So, Ruby stayed and after waiting for several hours was called in to see a case worker i'll call Ms. D. Ms. D started the interview process and eventually told Ruby she was definitely qualified for assistance in several areas. When Ms. D was done she handed Ruby a list of additional documentation that needed to be completed and told Ruby that when she had completed the forms, to call her directly to set up and appointment to bring in the forms to process the paperwork.

Ruby left and within two days had the necessary forms completed. She called Ms. D and the call went into Ms. D's voicemail box. Unfortunetly for Ruby, instead of being able to leave a message, Ruby received a recording stating the the mailbox was full. Ruby tried several times that day to leave a message for Ms. D, but kept receiving the same message. The next day, Ruby tried calling again and received the same message, so Ruby called the main line and told them the problem and they said they would transefer Ruby to someone who would help. They transferred her back to the voicemail box of Ms. D. Ruby hung up and called back to the same number and told them that that was not going to work and wondered of they could transfer her to someone to set up the appointment. The receptionist transferred Ruby to another extension.

This time Ruby was transferred to the section that handles unemployment claims. After speaking with someone there and realizing they could not help, Ruby called back to the original number and advised the person that they were tranferred to the wrong department. Ruby then asked to be transferred to Ms. D's supervisor and was transferred. Upon reaching Ms D's supervisor, Ms. F, she was presented with a voicemail message that Ms. F was on vacation. Frustrated, Ruby hung up and got in her car and drove to the office.

Upon arriving, she went to turn in her paperwork and was told she needed an appointment. After explaining she had been trying to get an appointment, but she could not reach anyone, the person told her she could not help. Ruby then explained again that she can not reach anyone to make an appointment and that she was there and wanted to turn in the paperwork as she was told to do. The person then agreed to take the paperwork and enter it into the system. After doing so, Ruby left.

Ruby waited until after the date listed (10 days later) on her forms as the absolute date that a determination would be made for receiving benefits and called Ms D to find out the status. This time she was able to leave a message and did so. After not hearing anything for two days, Ruby called and once again could not reach Ms. D, but after several dead end calls was able to reach somone to find out her status. The status reported was "Pending, awaiting paperwork." When Ruby asked what paperwork they were waiting for, she was told the forms she was supposed to fill out. Ruby adives that she had hand delivered the forms and had a receipt for them. Upon hearing this, the person said the would update the case and for Ruby to wait 10 days. Ruby replied she had already waited nearly two weeks, why does she have to wait another 10 days when the application said there would be a final determination by a date that was over a week ago. The person said the only thing they could do would be to send an email to Ms. D. to advise. Ruby knew that would not work because when she was with Ms. D being interviewed, Ms. D was getting upset that she was receiving emails. Knowing there was nothing else to do, Ruby went home.

The next day, Ruby called and left Ms. D another message. After a day without a callback, Ruby called the main number and asked to speak to Ms. F.  Ruby was greeted with Ms. F's voicemail and left her a message. After two more days of waiting with no reply from either Ms. D or Ms F, Ruby called back and asked by name to speak to the Director of JFS. After being transferred there, the Director's secretary answered and advised she would transfer her to Ms F's supervisor. Upon being transferred, Ruby again was greeted with a voicemail box. Ruby left a message and hung up and is still awaiting a callback.

The sad part about this scenario is that Ruby went above and beyond to make sure the application was being processed, yet the very system prevents someone from doing what they are told to do. If you are told to call and set up and appointment, yet cannot reach anyone to set up the appointment, then you can not get an appointment. Throughout this process Ruby pleaded that she needed to buy food and her daughter need to see a doctor. Ruby even tried calling doctors that accept Medicaid with the understanding that the bill would be paid after receiving approval form JFS, but no doctor will accept her based on that fact.

So, where does Ruby stand? Still waiting to get an appointment neary two weeks AFTER the absolute deadline for getting a determination. Needless to say, if an organization like JFS cannot even begin to process an application in twice the time allowed to complete the process, what makes the President believe government can run a bank or build a car that someone will invest in? How long will it be before we, like the citizens under the Soviet Union, are standing in line for two hours for a load of bread? Jefferson once said: "Were we directed from Washington when to sow and when to reap, we should soon want bread." --Thomas Jefferson: Autobiography, 1821. ME 1:122

Heaven help us if things continue down this track of government incompetence, because it will only be a matter of time before the people will no longer put up with it.  How long will it be before the people say "enough already" and decide to take matters into their own hands?
Thomas Jefferson wrote:

"What has destroyed liberty and the rights of man in every government which has ever existed under the sun?  The generalizing and concentrating all cares and powers into one body, no matter whether of the autocrats of Russia or France, or of the aristocrats of a Venetian Senate." --Thomas Jefferson to Joseph C. Cabell, 1816.

Jefferson also said: "I do verily believe that..a single, consolidated government would become the most corrupt government on the earth." --Thomas Jefferson to Gideon Granger, 1800. I am afraid we are seeing the very thing Jefferson warned us about. This being said, I fear that when government becomes so corrupt and incompetent that it no longer serves the people, it will not be a bright day in the history of the nation.

Karl Marx must be looking up and smiling

Akron, OH (Wisdom4Today) With not even 100 days passed since the election, Americans are waking to a different America than they knew before the election. Not since the Summer of 1776 have we seen such drastic changes in the role of government in America. Simply stated, we are experiencing nothing short of an Americanized 21st century remake of the Russian revolution. What started out as a mantra for change has evolved into a full scale coup d'etat on every aspect and segment of America. What started out as a vision of hope for the future has evolved into a sense of hopelessness that has everyone wondering if there will be a future.

To demonstrate how this nationalized anxiety is manifesting itself, one need not look any farther than your local business community. Just since the election, I have received three reports of individuals who were out of work and were being considered for high paying management or highly skilled technology positions. In each case, the potential employers, all well established and known companies that were weathering the economic downturn, were in the final stages of offering a position to an individual after weeks of negotiations and interviews. In each of the cases the companies contacted the individuals to inform them that they were going to have to retract their offers of employment. The reason given in each case is that given statements and actions by the President and Congress, they were suspending hiring any new employees until they knew what was going to happen with the federal government and how it was going to impact businesses and the economy. While apologizing profusely, they added that they believed that the changes occuring in Washington were going to make it harder to successfully conduct business.

Considering this, as well as other reactions in the business community, it is no wonder that the only businesses that are hiring are in health care and government. With the kind of power that the federal government is wielding, it is no wonder that even the French Socialists are concerned about what America is becoming. It makes one wonder if Karl Marx is looking up from his place of torment and a momentary smile is flashing across his face seeing his dream for the world being quickly put into place.

Just as the implentation of Marxism caused a revolution in Russia, it is becoming very apparent by the increase in "Tea Parties" through out America that it is only a matter of time before a revolution is sparked in America. Only this time, the revolution will not be to implement Marxism, it will be the rising of a free people who reject losing their independence in the name of change. Reagan once said, "How do you tell a communist? Well, it's someone who reads Marx and Lenin. And how do you tell an anti-communist? It's spomeone who understands Marx and Lenin." The American people inderstand Marx and Lenin and they will not allow themsleves to be put in bondage without a fight. When the time comes to fight this tyranny on our own soil, other words of Reagan will also ring true: "Above all, we must realize that no arsenal or no weapon in the arsenals of the world is so formidable as the will and moral courage of free men and women." No matter what anyone says, freedom is a powerfull motivator because it is a gift from God and makes live worth living.

Republicans still don't get it

Akron, Ohio (Wisdom4Today) Considering that Republicans had their clocks cleaned in the last election, you would think the Republican Party would learn that the reason for losing was because the Republican Party has become the Democratic Party of 1980. Nothing demonstrates this more than the fallout from Rush Libaugh's recent speech at the Annual CPAC Convention. While I am not a devoted Rush fan, I do recognize that he understands and openly articulates the ever growing difference between being a conservative and being a Republican.
Sadly, too many Republicans don't see the difference and are following the liberal drumbeat of pseudo-outrage over Limbaugh's recent remarks concerning his desire for President Obama to fail. This in of itself should be a red flag of warning to the Republican Party that it has lost its conservative soul. This was no better demonstrated when the RNC Chairman showed a total lack of conservative back bone and let D.L. Hugely, a has-been comedian posing as a talk show host, challenge and convince him to denounce Limbaugh. This is further demonstrated by the fact that Norm Coleman and Al Frankin, a bigger has-been comedian, are still in court trying to see who won the Senate seat from Minnesota.
Is it any wonder that the Republican Party is becoming a joke to many Americans when has-been comedians can seriously challenge them in interviews and elections? What makes the Republican Party think that redefining conservativism by endorsing liberal ideals to win elections is going to be successful? If you tell your own people that liberal ideas are good because of the times we are in, then don't be surprised when many of them vote for liberals and support liberal policies.
As a classical conservative, it is hard to understand how the Republican Party lost its spine in standing up to liberal propaganda. Where's the fight? Where's the confidence in the truth of conservativism? Why is it that a liberal Democrat will stand up and fight for a lie, but the Republican Party is too afraid to stand up and fight for the truth? If the Republican Party wants the President to succeed in eliminating capitalism and personal liberties, it will be a long time before the Republican Party will ever win another election. If Republicans can not start fighting for the principles that underpin this nation, then do not be surprised when we wake up as the the western version of the Balkans.

The Danger of Liberalism

Jefferson, OH (Wisdom4Today) Our nation has changed dramatically since her founding and this election cycle promises even more change. Unfortunately, the change that is promised by liberalism is nothing new. It has been tried before and the results have proven be to disastrous. Out founders foresaw this age knew this when they wrote our constitution because they knew how power has the ability to corrupt when it is in the hands of a small group of people. This is why they addressed this in Article 4, Section 4 of the US Constitution:

"The United States shall guarantee to every State in this Union a REPUBLICAN FORM OF GOVERNMENT, and shall protect each of them against Invasion; and on Application of the Legislature, or of the Executive (when the Legislature cannot be convened) against domestic Violence."(Emphasis mine) Source: http://www.findlaw.com/casecode/constitution/

What modern day liberalism is proposing is nothing less than an overthrow of the US Constitution. Sadly, if more people actually read the Constitution instead of listening to Marxists who tell them what the Constitution means, we would be a whole lot better off. Jesus, when tempted to ignore government mandates to pay taxes, said: "Show me a penny. Whose image and superscription hath it? They answered and said, Caesar's. And he said unto them, Render therefore unto Caesar the things which be Caesar's, and unto God the things which be God's." (Luke 20:24-25) The problem with liberalism is that it is not satisfied with the "things which be Caesar's"; they also want the "things which are God's." By this I mean that when government centralizes power and financial resources away from the control of the people, then churches suffer in their ability to provide for the needs of the truly needy.

Many church members admit that they are financially strapped and would like to do more to support the church in ministering to those whom are in need. At the same time, it disgusts them to see the money that is wasted by the federal government on programs that are abused through fraud. The sad part is that many fine people donate their time and efforts to ministering to others, but are severely hampered by lack of funds. If you examine the basis of focus of liberalism, you will find the following:

1. Abolition of property in land and application of all rents of land to public purposes. (IN OTHER WORDS, LOSS OF PROPERTY RIGHTS)

2. A heavy progressive or graduated income tax. (IN OTHER WORDS, A PROGRESSIVE TAX SYSTEM)

3. Abolition of all rights of inheritance. (IN OTHER WORDS, A DEATH TAX)

4. Confiscation of the property of all emigrants and rebels. (IN OTHER WORDS, SEIZING OF LAND THROUGH IMMINENT DOMAIN BEYOND PUBLIC WORKS)

5. Centralization of credit in the banks of the state, by means of a national bank with state capital and an exclusive monopoly. (DO I EVEN NEED TO POINT THIS ONE OUT? HINT: 700 BILLION DOLLARS)

6. Centralization of the means of communication and transport in the hands of the state. (IN OTHER WORDS, THE FCC and "FAIRNESS" DOCTRINE)

7. Extension of factories and instruments of production owned by the state. (IN OTHER WORDS, GOVERNMENT BUYOUTS OF BUSINESS AND GIVING LABOR UNIONS POWER OVER THE BUSINESS OWNERS); the bringing into cultivation of waste lands, and the improvement of the soil generally in accordance with a common plan (IN OTHER WORDS, FARM SUBSIDIES AND AGRICULTURAL COMMERCE REGULATION).

8. Equal obligation of all to work. (IN OTHER WORDS, TO PAY TAXES AND DISTRIBUTE THE WEALTH) Establishment of industrial armies, especially for agriculture. (UNDOCUMENTED MIGRANT WORKERS DRIVING DOWN THE WAGES FOR LEGAL MIGRANT AND NON-MIGRANT WORKERS)

9. Combination of agriculture with manufacturing industries; gradual abolition of all the distinction between town and country by a more equable distribution of the populace over the country. (IN OTHER WORDS, SPREADING THE WEALTH AROUND THROUGH CENTRALIZED FEDERAL POWER TO TAX PROGRESSIVELY)

10. Free education for all children in public schools. (IN OTHER WORDS, BUT NOT IN NON-GOVERNMENT SCHOOLS) Abolition of children's factory labor in its present form. (OKAY, I ADMIT, THIS ONE IS NOT BAD) Combination of education with industrial production, etc. (IN OTHER WORDS CREATING A "RIGHT" TO HIGHER EDUCATION)

Some may disagree with my interpretation of "in other words", but before you criticize my assessment of these points, first ask yourself who came up with these "progressive" ideas. Your answer can be found in the Communist Manifesto written by none other than Karl Marx. You can read it yourself at http://www.anu.edu.au/polsci/marx/classics/manifesto.html . When you are done reading ask yourself why would those who subscribe to liberalism would put forth an agenda that Karl Marx proposed for the overthrow of Democracy and Capitalism? Then ask yourself if Communism has a history of preserving the rights of the people to be self governing? When you are done, explain to those of us who believe that the founders had it right by writing Article 4, Section 4, how your version of "change" is not dangerous and going to lead to the betterment of us all.
