Akron, OH (Wisdom4Today) With not even 100 days passed since the election, Americans are waking to a different America than they knew before the election. Not since the Summer of 1776 have we seen such drastic changes in the role of government in America. Simply stated, we are experiencing nothing short of an Americanized 21st century remake of the Russian revolution. What started out as a mantra for change has evolved into a full scale coup d'etat on every aspect and segment of America. What started out as a vision of hope for the future has evolved into a sense of hopelessness that has everyone wondering if there will be a future.
To demonstrate how this nationalized anxiety is manifesting itself, one need not look any farther than your local business community. Just since the election, I have received three reports of individuals who were out of work and were being considered for high paying management or highly skilled technology positions. In each case, the potential employers, all well established and known companies that were weathering the economic downturn, were in the final stages of offering a position to an individual after weeks of negotiations and interviews. In each of the cases the companies contacted the individuals to inform them that they were going to have to retract their offers of employment. The reason given in each case is that given statements and actions by the President and Congress, they were suspending hiring any new employees until they knew what was going to happen with the federal government and how it was going to impact businesses and the economy. While apologizing profusely, they added that they believed that the changes occuring in Washington were going to make it harder to successfully conduct business.
Considering this, as well as other reactions in the business community, it is no wonder that the only businesses that are hiring are in health care and government. With the kind of power that the federal government is wielding, it is no wonder that even the French Socialists are concerned about what America is becoming. It makes one wonder if Karl Marx is looking up from his place of torment and a momentary smile is flashing across his face seeing his dream for the world being quickly put into place.
Just as the implentation of Marxism caused a revolution in Russia, it is becoming very apparent by the increase in "Tea Parties" through out America that it is only a matter of time before a revolution is sparked in America. Only this time, the revolution will not be to implement Marxism, it will be the rising of a free people who reject losing their independence in the name of change. Reagan once said, "How do you tell a communist? Well, it's someone who reads Marx and Lenin. And how do you tell an anti-communist? It's spomeone who understands Marx and Lenin." The American people inderstand Marx and Lenin and they will not allow themsleves to be put in bondage without a fight. When the time comes to fight this tyranny on our own soil, other words of Reagan will also ring true: "Above all, we must realize that no arsenal or no weapon in the arsenals of the world is so formidable as the will and moral courage of free men and women." No matter what anyone says, freedom is a powerfull motivator because it is a gift from God and makes live worth living.
